~Prologue~ Disclaimer: You know the drill... The sun peeked through its covers, revealing the first few rays of light. A young girl was tucked into a comfortable bed, and cover with pink and white colored sheets. This young girl was the savior of the Real World, chosen by light, an angel of light. She had a shining white aura, sometimes mixed with pink, which protected her from harm when she was in deep slumber. This girl was Jadeite, daughter of Kamui and Jewel. The door creaked open. A boy dressed in black pants, a white jacket with blue stripes and a dark blue tank top. His hair was tied back into a long ponytail with a black hair tie. His eyes were the colour of midnight blue and on his lips lingered a mischievous smile. The boy was also a savior of the Real World, but yet was the opposite of light, chosen by darkness, a messenger of the dark. The boy was Kou, son of Niko and Aurora, an outcast. Strangely, these two young children mixed very well with each other. Both were now parentless, Kou’s parents killed when he was young, Jade’s parents, during the confrontation between the two saviors and the free shadows. All they had was each other, and they intended to keep it that way, for now... Kou sneaked quietly up to the bed. With the stealth of a cat, he edged towards the bed. He got closer and closer. Until, he was directly above the sleeping girl. He got ready to pounce. 3, 2, 1... Suddenly, a hand shot out of the covers with great force and hit Kou squarely in the nose. Kou doubled back and let out a groan. Jadeite opened her eyes and smirked at her handiwork with satisfaction “That’s what you get when you try to scare me!” Jadeite proclaimed with a satisfied grin. “Alright, but you didn’t have to break my nose in the process.” Kou mumbled. Jadeite giggled and got out of bed. She wad clad in a silk, light pink nightdress. Kou grinned at Jadeite and looked at her flirtatiously. Jadeite bonked him on the head and muttered, “Pervert.” Jadeite made her way into the toilet and dressed into white pants with diamond studs designed into a weave-like pattern, a white jacket with pink down the sides and a light pink tube-top. As she exited the privy, she felt a pair of strong arms embrace her. “Hey, not now, my hair’s still messy.” Jadeite whispered. She felt the strong arms slide off and she made her way to her dressing table. There laid a sliver backed comb and mirror, encrusted with precious stones. Jadeite gently picked it up and started to comb her hair. She held back the tears which threatened to fall out. She put down the comb. On the table was another shimmering object. It was a ring. A star sapphire ring, another one of her family heirlooms. Jadeite picked it up, threaded it through a sliver chain and hung it around her neck. She felt the pair of strong arms embrace her again, comforting her. She petted the arms as she stood up and went to the balcony facing the beautiful scenery of a sparkling blue lake. The wind whipped back her jet black hair. Kou put one arm around her. She clutched it for support; support for her sanity, her broken heart. Kou stroked her hair as she leaned on him. “Are you ready?” Kou asked quietly. “As ready as ever.” Jadeite looked up and smiled. Midnight blue met Viridian. They both smiled. “Then we will go in the late morning.” Kou confirmed. Jadeite nodded in approval. They were going, during morning tierce, to the outcast camp. Author’s Notes: Yah! I finished faster then I expected! Haha! Oh well, This is quite long for a prologue. Better then the prequel, ne? Enjoy! Pure fluff for Jadeite and Kou! Muse Torture and Rants- Jadeite: Well, that was unexpectedly nice. Kou: I couldn’t agree more. Author: Well, this was written after playing lovely, romantic pieces on the piano. What did you expect? Jadeite and Kou: Something more dark. Author: Fine! The next chapter will be quite violent and dark! Jadeite and Kou: Thought so...
